Walt Morey had a prolific writing and speaking career throughout the Pacific Northwest in the 1960’s-1990’s. Yet, only two of his books remain in print, and his name is not well known anymore. As a family, we have always talked about Walt’s work and how it should still be reaching readers just as it did for more than forty years.
Walt Morey Library is my effort, on behalf of all of us in Walt’s family, to reintroduce his work and his incredible life story.
That’s me. I’m Kristen. Walt Morey was a huge part of my life as a child and I’m so thankful to have known him well. His books are tremendous, and his personality and character are infamous, though very little can be found online about him. I’m excited to share this with the world. He was beloved by readers and educators for decades and he was really special to all of us.
I’ll be continuously updating the blog with new stories, photos, videos, and information I’m gathering through research, interviews, etc. This is my way of honoring Walt and his life.
